ULI Singapore, with support from the Young Leaders Group (YLG), NEXT and Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) committees, presents the 2020 ULI Singapore Mentorship Programme, which is intended to foster an exchange of professional ideas and mentorship between experienced executives in the industry (“Mentors”) and young under-35 real estate professionals (“Mentees”). The goal is to provide mentees the opportunity to reach out to an advisor, supporter and coach focusing on their issues and offering the chance to learn from experienced industry players.
The programme launched with a virtual meeting on 10 June. A total of 23 mentees were accepted into the 12-month programme and paired with 19 mentors across the real estate spectrum.
A panel comprising past mentors and mentees shared their personal experience and tips on how to get the best out of the programme. After an interesting introduction from mentees, all then dispersed into smaller groups for each mentee-mentor pairing to get acquainted in a safe and private setting.
Under the programme, mentor-mentee communication will primarily be direct and the onus is on mentees to schedule meetings or conversations with their mentor based on a mutually agreeable time. A review meeting will be scheduled midway through the programme to check that all participants are on track with their mentoring goals.
We wish all the best to them on their mentoring journey!
