Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Asia Pacific 2022
ULI launched its 16th edition of the Emerging Trends in Real Estate® Asia Pacific 2022 report in collaboration with PwC on 24 Nov 2021.

The Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) Singapore Steering Committee is pleased to announce the election of Tan Shin Hui, Executive Director, Park Hotel Group as its Co-Chair effective from 1 January 2022 to 30 June 2023. Ms. Tan will also join the ULI Singapore Executive Committee in her capacity as WLI Singapore Co-Chair during this term.

“Beyond enhancing our skylines and built environment, the real estate sector has the power to shape and effect thriving communities,” said Ms. Tan. “Taking thoughtful steps toward diversity and inclusion is integral to optimising lasting transformative impact on the lives in the communities that we hold dear.”
“I am truly proud of ULI Singapore and WLI Singapore for their efforts in creating more opportunities for women in real estate,” she continues. “It is therefore, a privilege and honour to continue this meaningful work with my co-chair to raise the profile of women in real estate, providing them with the right platforms and opportunities to develop their careers and positive influence in our sector.”
Ms. Tan has been serving as a Steering Committee member since July 2020. She succeeds Zheng Wanshi, Group Chief Strategy and Planning Officer, Frasers Property Limited, who will continue to serve on the Steering Committee and as Vice Chair on the ULI Singapore Executive Committee.
“It has been a meaningful journey as co-chair of WLI Singapore, working to drive impact in female empowerment and engaging stakeholders,” said Ms.Zheng. “While I am stepping down as co-Chair to focus on my role as ULI Singapore Vice Chair, I will continue to contribute to WLI Singapore’s causes as an active member of the WLI Singapore Steering Committee. I would like to thank Wei Leng for being a great Co-Chair partner and my fellow Steering Committee members for their commitment to the mission. Shin Hui is an energetic and thoughtful leader, and I look forward to her coming onboard.”
Tang Wei Leng will extend her voluntary service as the Steering Committee Co-Chair to 30 June 2023.
“I am really proud to be associated with the WLI programme and grateful for this opportunity to take on a leadership role in the Steering Committee, working with many like-minded women, such as Wanshi and Shin Hui,” said Ms. Tang. “Together, we have raised the visibility of female leaders in the ULI and the real estate industry, through activities that promote female empowerment and stakeholder engagement. I also appreciate the many friendships we have forged through our journey together, supporting one another in the ultimate mission to encourage greater diversity in the real estate industry.”
