More than 30 of our leadership members, sponsors and industry guests came together with a strong sense of community
When the Singapore Ministry of Health raised its Disease Outbreak Response System Condition (DORSCON) level from yellow to orange on Friday 7 February, ULI Singapore swiftly put into action the postponement of the ULI Singapore Annual Conference which was scheduled for Tuesday 11 February in view that the heightened concerns would result in a lower turnout and limit the extent of knowledge sharing with our local community.
Though the Conference was postponed, the ULI Leadership Dinner that was scheduled on the eve of the Conference went ahead as planned. ULI Singapore reached out to its guests to assure them of the additional precautionary measures adopted and encouraged them to join for the Dinner as these were times when all the more, leaders should come together and converse about times ahead.
We were touched by the strong sense of community when more than 30 of our leadership members, sponsors and industry guests showed up for Dinner. We hosted it at 1880, a social club that was borne out of the simple idea that conversations between folks of diverse minds can and will make the world a better place. Indeed, that was what took place! They conversed about the impact of the COVID-19 on our community, but spent the larger part of the evening sharing views about some of the key takeaways from recent ULI meetings and initiatives, the increasing relevance of ESG (environmental, social and governance) in all facets of the real estate industry and its related sectors, and bounced ideas for new ULI programmes. The resilient spirit displayed during Dinner and their encouragement for ULI was resounding.
With their support, ULI Singapore has also announced the new date for the Conference – 30 April 2020. If you have not secured a seat yet, do register here before 23 April 2020 and be part of this invigorating community and our conversations!
